If you follow my blog you already know that I'm obsessed with the 1 Night Stand Series!
Today I have an author of a 1NS book on my blog, Debbie Gould!
Debbie welcome and tell us about yourself.
Grew up in New Brunswick, NJ until the age
of 14 when my mom dragged me kicking and screaming to rural Vermont, lol. Been
here ever since. Now work as a nurse at a small family practice and live with
my two Maine Coon cats and 21 year old son.
Do you prefer...
Milk chocolate or Dark?
Milk chocolate definitely! Dark is yucky,
lmao. But it I really had a choice it would be white chocolate, and YES white
chocolate is still chocolate, I don’t care what the haters say, lol.
Coffee or tea?
Neither. Never did acquire a taste for either of them. I do like Hot
Coco, and Swiss Miss has a pick me up line with lots of caffeine in it.
Vodka or tequila?
Vodka! Although was just on vacation in
Mexico and they were giving out free shots of Tequila. Now THAT was fun.
Romance or a Thriller?
A romantic thriller please.
Mystery or Horror?
Both
with romance added in, lol. Do you
see a pattern? I guess I don’t conform
well. I love A good thriller, mystery, horror or all in one, but I need some
romance in it too. Don’t like them without it anymore.
Did you always want to be an author?
No, I actually work as a Nurse M-F at a
family practice in rural Vermont. I read every thing I could get my hands on
though. Started with Stephen King as a teenager. Then my daughter had a few bad
break-ups and I decided I wanted to write about the man I wanted her to find in
fall in love with. The rest, shall they say, is history, lol.
What authors had
an impact on you growing up and as an adult?
Stephen King was THE man in my teens. I also read VC Andrews and Dean
Koontz. As an adult I moved more to the Romantic Suspense genre. Love Suzanne
Brockmann, Cindy Gerard and Lori Foster.
Did anyone in your life
influence you or encouraged you to be a writer?
No, not
really. My kids are all very proud and tell all there friends about my books.
They do encourage me and now I have several fans that keep me plugging away at
the computer.
What is your
writing atmosphere like?
Either
I’m on my couch with my laptop with some silly TV show in the background, or at
my messy desk in my bedroom, with
the cats trying to help.
What is your favorite aspect or
writing? Your Least Favorite?
Favorite
is writing The End! Gosh I love that feeling. Least favorite is the middle of
the book when the ending seems so far away and I begin to wonder if I can do
the story justice.
Your current book your
promoting is:
Second Chance
Lieutenant Colin Beckett, US Air Force special
ops, lost his wife in childbirth while off on a mission. Two years later, he’s
still trying to come to grips with the guilt that tortures him. And to
complicate matters, he finds himself undeniably attracted to his wife's sister,
Emily. Struggling with his desire, he tells himself he doesn’t deserve a second
chance with such an amazing woman.
....Emily wants Colin in her life and her bed. Enlisting the help of Colin's teammates and Madame Eve's 1Night Stand dating service, she plans to prove to Colin he can have everything he lost once again.
....Will their one night lead to the happy ending she longs for or the loneliness he thinks he deserves?

How did you come up with your story line?
I love military hero’s. My daughter is in the Air Force, and they miss
so much when they are deployed. My hero’s deployment had a devastating event happen
when he was gone and I wanted to see how he’d deal with it.
How do you choose
your characters names?
TV,
books, people I know, news. All over really
I've read Second Chances and reviewed it a few weeks back!

About the Author...
Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of two Debbie and
her mother moved to New Jersey, spending many happy years on her grandparents'
horse farm. You'll sometimes find this setting as a backdrop in her work.
As a teenager, she and her mother found a new home in
Vermont, where she currently resides. With a daughter in the Air Force, one son in college and the other working for
the family business, Debbie now shuffles
her time between a husband and full time job as a nurse, and writing.
About seven years ago, while looking at over three hundred
treasured books lining her shelves, she realized there was a multitude of
stories of her own clamoring for release. Since then, she's seriously
persevered in keeping the keyboard in constant motion.
With two novels, Mountain's Echo and Infidelity, and two
novellas, November Rain and Second Chance now published, Debbie is now also
working with a partner, L.J. Garland. Together the two have written Sins of the
Mind and are hard at work on many more manuscripts.
Debbie has been a member of KOD, FTHRW, ELEMENTS and RWA
Online.
