Saving Sydney by Jenny Lyn Review and Giveaway

Sydney Carson doesn’t have room in her life for the complications of a relationship. Her life is busy enough, what with having to referee her parent’s separation, keep her playboy brother out of trouble, and still manage to run her family’s busy real estate investment firm. That doesn’t leave a lot of time for personal needs.

But after bumping in to high school friend, Reece Myers, and feeling the searing heat of their instant chemistry, Sydney figures that finding time for the occasional hour of mind-numbing sex certainly couldn’t hurt. Or could it?

Reece Myers has finally gotten his life where he wants it. His blue-collar bar is a success, he’s got good friends, and a building nest egg in the bank. The only thing missing is the right woman to share that life with. He thinks he’s found her in the form of one long-legged, gorgeous redhead from his past, but the hard part is convincing Sydney it’s worth a shot.

Going in, Reece knows Sydney has money, but her sweetness and unassuming nature make it easy to ignore. However, when their personal and professional lives clash, the vast difference in their bottom lines shocks him back to reality. Can he overcome his insecurities for a chance at a future with the woman of his dreams?

My thoughts on Saving Sydney:

Reece and Sydney have known each other for a long time and their paths cross once again. Their 'relationship' is for pure pleasure only because Sydney wants it that way, but Reece wants more.

Sydney is rich, a workaholic , and is the glue that keeps her crumbling family together. Her first marriage to Todd ended because she doesn't have the time to put into a relationship when she is married to her job.

When Sydney asks Reece to be her date for a function, they share an incredible night together that changes everything. Sydney is left confused and not ready to embrace the feeling she has for him. She throws herself into work and putting out the media fir started by her father's bad choice.

Reece is dying inside that it has been days since that incredible night and she hasn't called or stopped by to see him. He wants to give her the space he knows she needs but at what cost to him?

Saving Sydney is a beautifully written story about second chances.

  1. This story sounds really interesting, in the way that a lot of women who have careers almost always put it first. The family comes next but sadly to much time has past to really fix the issues. Very interesting, and can't wait to read it to see where it goes.

  2. Thanks for the lovely review, Tamaria. I enjoyed writing this story so much, and putting a twist on the usual rich guy/poor girl dynamic. The secondary characters, Deke, Sophie and Jonah, were all tremendous fun to write as well.

    Good luck to everyone!

    1. The cover looks beautiful and the synopsis and the review on the book looks very promising. Sydney and Reece sounds like two very different persons but they say opposites attract:) Hope they get together!!!
