I'm excited to be hosting one of the authors of Love, Again today.
This is book has 7 amazing stories about finding love again.
Over the next few weeks I'll be interviewing each author (besides myself) here on the blog.their .
Today It's my pleasure to have Ella Jade here with me. She's not only one of my favorite authors, she is also a friend. Now let's get to know a little about her.
Tell us about
yourself:
I've been writing for as long as I can remember. As a child, I always had a notebook
and pen with me and as an adult, the laptop is never far. I've been jotting
down short stories for years. The plots and dialogue have always played out in
my head, but I never knew what to do with them. I never thought to have anyone
else read them. That all changed when I discovered the eBooks industry. I
thought maybe I could do that! Now I'm penning books at a rapid pace and I
can't be stopped.
I'm excited to share my work with all of you. I love making new friends, so come connect with me at http://ellajadeauthor.blogspot.com

How did you
select your pen-name?
My son's name is
Jake but ever since he was a baby, I've called him Jade. I don’t know why, I
just have. If I were ever to have a girl I wanted to name her Ella. I got tired
of waiting, so I borrowed the name. Ella Jade was born.
Do
you prefer?
Milk Chocolate or
Dark? Milk
Coffee or Tea?
Iced tea
Vodka
or Tequila? I'm a martini girl, so flavored vodka
Romance or a
Thriller? Romance
Mystery or Horror? Horror
Did you always
want to be an author?
Yes, for as long
as I can remember I've always had a pen and paper in my hand. I love to tell a
story.
What authors had
an impact on you growing up and as an adult?
As a young adult, I found Stephen King and I
never stopped reading him. He has a fascinating past when it comes to selling
his work and getting into the business. He's very inspiring to me. As
an adult, I read lots of Nora Roberts. I love how she can create all of
those characters. Many of them stay with me long after I'm finished the book.
Did anyone in
your life influence you or encouraged you to be a writer?
I just always knew I was meant to write. I
didn't necessarily think I could be published but I had a passion for writing.
My characters inspire me to get the story told. When they talk, I listen.
What is your
writing atmosphere like?
I need total silence. Right now, I'm set up in
my dining room, but that doesn't always work. I'm thinking of converting part
of the basement for an office. My kids aren't thrilled that I may be taking
over half the playroom. lol
What is your
favorite aspect or writing? Your least favorite?
Creating and developing the characters. I love
coming up with new and exciting ways to bring the two main
characters together. One of my favorite things to do is develop
the back story of each character. Everybody has a story and I HAVE to
tell it. lol My least favorite part is coming up with all those new and
creative ways for the characters to have sex. There are only so many ways to do
it and I think I've written them all, but I keep trying!
What drew to the
Love, Again Anthology?
When I saw the
theme for the Anthology I knew I wanted to write a story where the hero not
only got a second change at a love lost, but at redemption too.
How did you
decide on your story plot?
I use lots of
imagery when I write. I look at pictures and think of a story that goes with
them. Home came from an idea I
thought of when I saw a picture. I just went with it.
How did you
choose your characters names and location for your story?
I just go with
names I like. In this particular story it's Chase and Elyse.
Home by Ella Jade
Dr. Chase Avery has worked hard to give his high school sweetheart and love of his life Elyse Jacobs the life she deserves, but in working toward their happily ever after, he missed out on the important things in life.
Six months after she leaves, Chase finds himself alone and overworked, dealing with the mistakes of the past.
When Elyse shows up unexpectedly on Valentine’s Day, can an old flame be rekindled or is it nothing more than one last night of passion?
