Meet the Author... Lacey Wolfe

I'm hosting Lacey Wolfe today on my blog. let's get to know the woman behind the books.

Tell us about yourself.
My name is Lacey Wolfe and I am a wife and mother of two. I spend my days in front of the computer, and have the bottom to prove it. :)  My kids are both now officially in school, so I have the time to devot to writing, when my lab and cat give me the peace too. They are more needy then kids I think.
Do you prefer

Mystery or Horror?

Did you always want to be an author?
I always knew I would one day be an author. I had other dreams a long the way, but once I had my kids and stayed home, I found myself writing again. With my youngest starting school this year, it was time to get serious, or get a job where I had to leave the house.

What authors had an impact on you growing up and as an adult?
As a child I read mystery novels. I loved the Boxed Car Children series. I could still probably get lost in it. As an adult, I moved into chick-lit then romance. I can't really pin point an specific authors.

Did anyone in your life influence you or encouraged you to be a writer?
My mother has always supported me, even though I currently write the dirty stuff. My husband has been there 100%. For years he has told me to write and I finally listened.

What is your writing atmosphere like?
I have a tiny house, so I don't have any space to myself. I have a desk/bookshelf in the living room. Or  you
ll find me in the kitchen.

What is your favorite aspect or writing? Your Least Favorite?
I like creating the stories. Getting the two people together and to there happy ending. My least favorite is the worry about what people think about. When your book first comes available, a panic sets in if its good or a dud.
Your current book your promoting is:
Amber's Muse is my debut novella. In December I have another novella available titled Fool Me Once and it will kick off my Hot Bods Series.

How did you come up with the your story line?
I'm going to talk a little bit about Fool Me Once here. I wrote this novella in about two weeks. My fastest time yet. This story just flowed out of my veins. I'm not sure how I came up with it, but I had a scene playing out in my head and I had to get it out and then Fool Me Once was born.

How do you choose your characters names?
As a new writer, I just choose a name for now. I go through different names until one feels right.

Tell us about the book your promoting.

Amber's Muse Blurb: Available Now from Amazon, Nook, BeachwalkPress, Bookstrand, AllRomance
Sometimes it’s the person you least expect who can satisfy all your desires
By day Amber’s a librarian, and by night she hides away writing erotic romance novels. She has just one problem—not enough sexual experience to pull from. A recent steamy dream leaves Amber wondering if her neighbor Jax might be just the guy who can help her. He seems almost perfect to use as a sexual guinea pig, especially since she doesn’t have to worry about falling in love with him.

Jax has lived next door to Amber for a year and has tried everything he can think of to get her to notice him, but it hasn’t worked. Until recently. When Amber approaches him asking for his help, he’s ready to jump on board. When he learns exactly what kind of help she needs, he’s definitely willing.
Becoming involved with someone like Jax simply isn’t an option for Amber. He barely works, can’t manage his money, and has no ambition in life. So why does he suddenly seem so right for her?

Fool Me Once blurb: Available December 19th, 2011Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…

Drew is the last person Skylar wanted to see across from her at a local bar. A month ago he’d wined and dined her all weekend, leaving her feeling fully in love, but then she awoke alone in an empty hotel room and she hadn’t heard from him since.

The weekend Drew spent with Skylar was phenomenal. There had never been anyone who made him feel as complete as she did. He shouldn’t have disappeared, he should have called, but his feelings for her scared him, so he distanced himself. But when he saw her again, he knew he couldn’t stay away any longer.

Skylar’s determined not to give Drew another chance to hurt her, but he’s just as determined to win her back. Although it won’t be easy, he’s up to the challenge, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish his goal.
