Tamaria reviews Senator, Mine by Kerry Adrienne a 1 Night Stand Story

Senator, Mine by Kerry Adrienna
Part of the 1 Night Stand series by Decadent Publishing

Eleanor’s dream of a romantic tour of Italy shatters when her long-time boyfriend breaks up with her in Pompeii. Determined to enjoy the once in a lifetime vacation, she enlists the 1NS service. She continues her trip, stopping to buy a small golden signet in a mysterious antiquities shop in Rome.

Darius, a hard-working Senator in Ancient Rome, is puzzled by the Sibyl’s words: You will not find love in your lifetime. Hoping to find a measure of happiness, he agrees to the Sibyl’s quest. In the olive grove, he spots Eleanor, a barbarian wearing his stolen senator’s ring.

A night spent together may be just what they both need to break down the columns of time that stand between them.

It's no secret that I'm a bit obsessed with the 1NS. Senator, Mine was the first Time Travel INS that I've read. The story opens up with Eleanor getting dumped by her boyfriend while they're on vacation. She finds Madam Eves services on line while in her hotel room one night. (What's better way to get over a guy then to get under another, right!) She stops into a store to buy trinket, something to remember her trip by. She ends up with a ring that was owned by a Senator named Darius.

Darius seeks council from a Sibyl. He's been told  that he won't find love in his lifetime, but he's seeks council yet again to get a cryptic messages. He follows her instruction and meets the Eleanor and takes her to a cave. Can two people that are so different find what their looking for in a 1 night stand?

This passage made me melt:

He paused, unmoving. “I’ve struggled with life’s meaning and loneliness.” He rubbed his chin and shifted. “This is right. This night. You.”

I'm not huge on time travel stories but this one kept my interest and I loved Darius and Eleanor. I give Senator,Mine 3 out of 5 stars! I enjoyed it
