At the Beach... the conclusion.

Here it is, the ending of my At the beach story waves of desire.

We sat on the sand and watched the beauty of the sunset.

 “This is truly paradise.”

“Yes it is.” He replied before he kissed me. “Now let’s go for a swim.”

I nodded. I watched as he got up and ran into the ocean. I soon followed. It was the perfect evening for a swim. A while later, I emerged from the water to find Blake sitting on the sand watching my every move. Our eyes met and a wave of desire flowed through my body. I sat down next to him to dry off, and seconds later, I was laying on my back with my bikini top off. His hands and mouth were everywhere. He took his time worshiping each of my breasts; licking, sucking, and biting

          "Oooooh, Blake." I moaned.

"Brenda, the sounds you make are driving me insane.” He removed my bikini bottoms while he kissed his way down my body, stopping just above my throbbing sex. His fingers started to explore me.

"You're always so wet and ready for me.”

I moaned in pleasure as he replaced his fingers with his tongue. Slowly, he worked my

        "God…oh…God!"

Before I could even catch my breath, he had his shorts off; with one thrust, he was deep inside of me. He pounded into me fast and hard. I never fully came down from my orgasm, and I could feel another orgasm building. I closed my eyes so I could focus on just the pure pleasure he was bringing me. I pushed on his chest, rolling us over slowly so I could straddle him. Loving being in complete control, I slid up and down on his cock at a quick pace, bringing us both very close to our releases.

"Brenda, you feel so good. I'm so close, baby. Let go, now!" he growled, as he reached between our bodies and rubbed my clit, sending me spiraling into my second mind-blowing orgasm.

 "Blake!" I cried out.

"Fuck!" He moaned as he came hard.

I fell on top of him satisfied and exhausted. When we could catch our breath, we realized we had sand all over us.

“Maybe having sex in the sand wasn’t such a good idea. I have sand everywhere.”

“Let’s go clean off,” He said as he picked me up and ran us into the water.

We cleaned off, splashed around, and exchanged kisses and caresses under the moonlight. I knew I would never forget out time here together at the beach.

…and the live happily ever after
The end!

Tamaria reviews Snowy Fate by Marisa Dobson

Snowy Fate by Marissa Dodson

Fate always knows when you're ready for love.

The past is catching up with Aspyn Layton. The father she never knew passed away and she is left to deal with his estate. An unexpected snowstorm has her stranded at the one place she didn’t want to be—her father’s house—with a naked man.

Damon Andrews has a secret, one he shared with Aspyn’s father. He must convince Aspyn there is more to life then what she knows. How will she react when she finds out he is a mountain lion, and she is his mate? Their fates are intertwined.

 My review of Snowy Fate:

Snowy Fate is a quick read that packs a quite a tale. Aspyn has always been bitter over her father's absence in her life and now being the only family left she has been left to deal with the estate after his death.

She just want's to put the past behind her and move on. While at her Father's cabin, she gets a visit from an man that stirs feelings in her especially because that man is naked and standing in her father's living room.

Damon knows from the firsts seconds he lays eyes on Aspyn's that she belongs to him. He has to help Aspyn discover her father's secret so he will accept him and embrace her future. The key to it all is the journal her father left behind.

Snowy Fate, is a sweet, sexy, heartwarming story about forgiveness and acceptance.

Born and raised in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, I now reside about an hour from Washington, D.C. I am a lady who likes to keep busy, and am always busy doing something. With two different college degrees, I believe you are never done learning.
Being the first daughter to an avid reader, this gave me the advantage of learning to read at a young age. Since learning to read I have always had my nose in a book. It wasn't until I was a teenager that I started writing down the stories I came up with.
I am blessed with a wonderful supportive husband, Thomas. He is my other half and allows me to stay home and pursue my writing. My writing buddies Max (a cocker spaniel) and Dawne (a beagle mix) are always around to listen to me bounce ideas off them. Oh those plot bunnies!

The past week I have spent in edits, both for Obsession and Vows. Vows edits are done, I still have many hours of Obsession edits ahead of me this week.

When your focus needs to be on one thing that's when they strike!

An author friend was showing me a submission call she thought I'd be interesting in, and on the page I saw (under what she intended to show me) a call for 'cougar' stories. I've always written the older man/younger woman, never the older woman, younger man. My mind started to swirl with possibilities, I wanted to push them  away and get back to my edits, they needed to come first.

Damn bunny wouldn't leave me alone, so I opened a Word Doc and let my mind go, and Object of My Desire was born!

Here is a quick summary:

Object of Her Desire

Caroline Dalton is forty-two. She’s beautiful, sexy, rich, and very jolted. Her ex-husband left her for a much younger woman. Caroline’s way of coping with the pain of her divorce was by having one fling after another. She continually dismissed her best friend Michelle’s concerns that her behavior will eventually destroy her.
Not caring what anyone thinks Caroline sets her sights on the new grounds- keeper, Jayden Williams. Jayden is twenty-one, he just moved back home after finishing college, and he is the son of an old acquaintance. The fling quickly escalates and Caroline finds herself fighting deeper feelings or him.  Before she has the chance to tell him that she wants more, Jayden suddenly ends their affair.
Caroline is left heartbroken and confused until one day Michelle let’s her in on a little town gossip.  Finally understanding why Jayden broke it off with her and sets out to get him back.

This one will be fun to write! For now I need to finish my edits first, so I've tied the bunny up and gagged her! I'm just kidding, I put her to work.  I love hard boiled eggs so I have her practicing for Easter!

She holds the MFA in creative writing, and loves to play CLUE, Monopoly (the Indiana Jones version), and Pandora’s Box (good writer’s block therapy). Excerpt
Forcing my eyes to open, I found myself outside the Cradlehack. I was standing in Faris’s arms, my head against his chest, my fingers entwined in his black vest. It was a smooth fabric that felt like silk. A cloth no one had worn outside of ceremonies since before the Tidal Years. This boy was no common citizen. His earthy-sweet smell made me feel hypnotically safe, as we stood among the crowd fleeing down the hillside. He lifted my chin, stared in my eyes. But this wasn’t some dumb player’s move.

No, a mysterious thing stirred behind his silvery-gray eyes.

“Feel better, Chela?” he asked. I nodded.

“Thanks for helping me,” I said, still fighting a light head. Still afraid the dreaded black blobs lingered somewhere around us. Somewhat ashamed I’d spoken so horribly to him moments ago.

“You probably shouldn’t do that,” he said.

                “Do what?”

                “Thank me.”

“Why? Because I caught you using alchemy? That’s what your kind does. Make magic in the shadows, right?” I said.

His left eye ticked. The girl in the hoodie had called him a Caducean. Could it be possible? Father told me Caduceans were a mythical group—demon slayers from a time long gone. Yet, here I stood with a boy who didn’t deny my claim.

Around us, fewer people were leaving the Shack. They paid no attention to the two idiots standing and staring at each other. Did Jalen and Lexa make it out safely?  They were taking forever to reach me.

Did I really want them to find me?

“They’ll call me, now, and make me a witness against you. I’m sorry, but I already have too many problems. So I—I have to tell the truth,” I said.

“That won’t be a problem.” Faris smiled, a catchy one that lit his face up. I couldn’t decide whether it was angelic or downright wicked. Just like I couldn’t remember where I’d ever heard an accent like his. What kind was it? Old southern? Old English? Irish? It sounded like a mix of all three, but with a deep timbre, making him sound god like. “In a few minutes, you won’t remember me or any of this.”

“Really? How do you figure that?” I asked, heart racing.

“Because my gift to you…” He moved his face closer to mine, pulling me into whatever was happening in his head. “My gift is to remove memories that cause you pain.”

“Okay, um, right.” Had I lost my mind? It probably wouldn’t have hurt to scream.

He held my gaze, locking me into something I couldn’t explain. A tear puckered up in his left eye, and slid down his cheek where it stopped on his top lip. Then he blinked, snapping us out of whatever place he’d taken us to, and glanced behind my head. “Here comes your dark knight,” he said, easing his arms away from me.

He strolled off into the last group of stragglers hanging around the Shack. How did he know my nickname for Jalen?

I wiped away a tear rolling down my right cheek.

“Chela, there you are. You scared me, girl.” Jalen’s voice cut into the moment. He spun me around to face him. I blinked, clearing my eyes. “What’s wrong? Did you get hurt?”

I glanced around us. The boy was gone. A dull headache joined the fuzziness in my head. Lost inside a clouded mind, I forgot what I wanted to say. The entire night’s events were hazy.

                I fumbled with my thoughts.

What happened to me in there?

The tears that I couldn’t hold back any longer started to fall. I sank down into the rocking chair clutching the frog as I cried and finally letting the pain take over. "Peyton, what am I going to do without you? You have always been there for me to lean on. You are my rock, my sounding board, my best friend. I can't do this without you,"I whispered into the darkness.

At the Beach... Waves of Desire Part 3

Here is part 3 of Waves of Desire ...

We strolled down the sidewalk of the little town stopping in a few shops. I bought Blake a rope necklace with a shark tooth attached. He laughed as I placed it around his neck.

“I bought you something also.” He handed me a bag. “Open it.”

I reached in and pulled out a beautiful shell necklace. “It’s beautiful! Will you put it on me?”

“Of course.”

I turned around and handed him the necklace. I felt him move my hair to the side. A small moan escaped my lips as his mouth placed light kisses on my neck before he placed the necklace around it and fastened it. I turned in his arms, and our lips met. I quickly pulled away, remembering we were on the sidewalk outside the store.

“Behave! We’re in public.”

He laughed. “Let’s head to the restaurant.”

We walked toward the restaurant holding hands. We were having such a great time. I didn't want to go home tomorrow and back to reality. What if the love we rekindled here vanished as soon as the routine and demand of our lives took back over?

When we reached Martino's, the waitress sat as us at a cozy table, and we ordered a bottle of wine.

“Brenda, what's wrong?”

How did he always know when something was bothering me. “It's nothing really.”

“Please tell me.”

“I was just thinking about going home tomorrow. We've grown so close over the past few days that I'm afraid the spell will be broken the moment we are back to reality.”

“Brenda, I promise that won't happen. We came so close to losing everything, and I'll never let our marriage take a back seat to work and life again.”

“Me either. I can't go back to living that way.”

He picked up my hand, brought it to his mouth and placed a light kiss over my wedding ring.

“I was thinking we could make this trip a yearly thing.”

“Blake, really?” I squealed.

“Yes, and I plan on making the most of our last night here.” He winked, and I was just about to make a sexy remark when our food came. We ate and drank our wine. The food was truly incredible.

We arrived back at our bungalow and sat out on the deck talking, laughing, and sipping the bottle of wine we picked up in town.

"It’s a beautiful night. Let’s go for a swim,” I suggested.

"Great idea, Babe."

We changed into our suits and headed for the water.

to be continued...

I'll be wrapping up this story next Saturday!

Moon Over Alcatraz by Patricia Yager Delagrange

Following the death of their baby during a difficult birth, Brandy and Weston Chambers are grief-stricken and withdraw from each other, both seeking solace outside of their marriage; however, they vow to work through their painful disloyalty.  But when the man Brandy slept with moves back to their hometown, three lives are forever changed by his return.

Excerpt:
Three days later we were standing at the edge of a hole in the ground at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hayward, the silence so thick, the insides of my ears buzzed like a distant swarm of angry bees.  Mr. Peralta and another gentleman stood off to the side while Weston and I held hands next to the tiny casket.
Weston had chosen a simple mahogany box with gold handles, a bouquet of white lilies graced the top of the small box.  I knelt down and laid a kiss on the smooth wood then wiped off the tears that had fallen on the wood.  Weston joined me and placed a single red rose in the middle of the lilies.
He helped me up and we stood side-by-side in silence, my guilt over her death like a stone in my empty belly.  I missed everything I’d dreamed would be happening right now, yearned for all that could have been.
Weston nodded at the man standing next to Mr. Peralta and our baby was slowly lowered into the gaping maw.  She reached the bottom, and a bird landed on the rich brown dirt piled next to the grave.  It pecked around, chirping a little song, then flew off - as if saying goodbye.  My heart squeezed inside my chest.
I picked up a small handful of soft dirt.  “Goodbye, Christine,” I whispered, throwing it on top of her casket.
Weston wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me in close to his side.  Why her?  Why my baby?  Was this supposed to make sense?  And, if so, to whom?
We drove home in silence.  No words existed to express my grief.

Fascinated by broken-hearted couples and atypical families, Patricia weaves engaging tales of men and women who create cohesive families where love reigns supreme.  She sprinkles her books with intriguing characters who struggle to find balance in life after tragedy.  Whether an unwed teenager, desperate widow, abandoned father, or a couple who stray from their marital vows, her characters form relationships impacted by their desire to create a family.
Aside from writing, her favorite things to do include riding her Friesian horse, Maximus, dot-to-dot for adults, and watching Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington movies.  She spends a majority of her days writing while her two very large Chocolate Labs lounge on the couch cuddled next to her and her MacBook.
She writes a blog every Wednesday, so if you're interested, sign up to be on the mailing list and she'll notify you after she posts her blog on this website.  Or just drop by Wednesday mornings and leave a comment.

I placed the phone to my ear, and I could hear Colin's sobs. "Colin, what's wrong?"

"Peyton... she... is... gone.”

I gasped. "No!" I shouted, as the weight of what he was telling me crushed my very soul. No. Not Peyton. "How," I whispered, as I fought back the tears.
